C.I.T.E.S., certificates, ranking reports and other "credentials".
Just when you think it couldn't get any worse a new wave of buffoonery overtakes the Hoodia
market. They are popping up everywhere. You'll notice many websites proudly displaying
C.I.T.E.S., certificates, and "credentials". While this is going on others are shouting at
the top of their lungs, "hey come over here! Take a look at my ranking report. I'm warning you,
buy my top pick. Mine is the best...".
C.I.T.E.S., certificates and other "credentials":
Truth is, these so-called C.I.T.E.S., and "credentials" can be fabricated and erected on any
website within minutes by anyone with a little computer graphics knowledge. Simply put, they're
not worth the cyber paper on which they're written.
Hoodia Review/Ranking Reports:
The other big trend the crooks have adapted is that of the Hoodia ranking review/report. Suddenly
everyone seeking to dupe public is setting up a Hoodia Review/Ranking/Report site. Fact is, they
have performed no objective research or conducted no scientific investigations. They seek
only to reel you in, flash a few fabricated C.I.T.E.S. or fake "credentials", and take your money.
Hoodia in national health and drug store chains:
Many people are shocked to learn that the Hoodia they purchase in national health food stores
and drug chains are totally useless. What they don't know is that most if not all national health
stores and drug chains care first and foremost about one thing -- their bottomline. If vendor
X wants the national health stores and chains to carry his worthless Hoodia all he has to do is:
- Insure & indemnify the chain against potential claims and damages
- Provide a C of A saying it's uncontaminated
- Agree to promote and advertise aggressively
- Give it to them dirt cheap
Rest assured, they already know real Hoodia is not cheap. But apparently they're willing not only to
look the other way but to insist on a dirt cheap price just to bolster their bottomline.
For those in the know it comes as no surprise. But for others it's quite a shock. It is sad that
this type of callous disregard for the public interest is allowed. But all we can do is hope that
someday the government or some other entity will do something about it.
Hoodia is patented by Phytopharm therefore no one can sell it:
After Phytopharm, a small firm in Cambridgeshire, England said it had discovered a potential
cure for obesity derived from an African cactus, it emerged that the company had patented the
appetite-suppressing P57 molecule in the Hoodia plant. This is not the same as having
a patent on the plant itself. No one can patent a naturally occurring molecule in a plant.
Phillip Jones, in his "Overview of United States Patent Law", says "…a naturally occurring
molecule cannot be patented even if the patent applicant was the first to discover the
existence of the molecule. Only a purified, isolated or altered form of a naturally occurring
molecule may be patentable.

Our inside knowledge of the Hoodia market along with the daily emergence of scores of
crooked Hoodia outfits have led us to make these important revelations. Hopefully, you now
have the facts you need to separate the real from the fakes to avoid making costly mistakes.
